Falkirk Wheel - 1
The Falkirk Wheel in Scotland is used to join the Clyde and Forth Canal with the Union Canal between Glasgow and Edinburgh.Previously it was linked by eleven locks that became disused and were filled in during the 1930's.It is powered by electricity and uses the equivalent of boiling eight kettles of water per hour.
